Happy Sunday, Beautiful friends!

As many of you may already know, but for those who doesn’t know, I’d like to introduce Ho’oponopono — a beautiful Hawaiian healing practice that brings us back to balance, forgiveness, and inner peace. Even though the words sound simple, this method can shift energy in a deep and powerful way. I use it all the time and it works! This is my go to when I’m stuck.

🌿What Ho’oponopono Means

The word Ho’oponopono means “to make things right” or “to restore balance.”
In ancient Hawaiian culture, families used this practice to resolve conflict, release old hurts, and return harmony to the group.

Later, a Hawaiian kahuna (healer) named Morrnah Simeona modernized the practice so each person could use it individually. She simplified the healing into four phrases:

I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.

These words act like a spiritual cleansing — gently dissolving old emotions, stuck energy, and unconscious patterns that block peace.

🌟 Why This Simple Practice Works

In Ho’oponopono, the world is viewed as a reflection of our inner state.
When something feels stressful or triggering, the healing begins inside of us — not outside.

The four phrases are directed toward:

  • Your subconscious mind

  • Your inner child

  • Old memories

  • Energetic imprints

  • Places inside you that still need love and attention

You don’t need to fully understand why it works.
Your subconscious knows what is ready to be released.

Ho’oponopono reminds us:

When we clean our inner world, our outer world naturally shifts too.

🏵️ A Brief History: Dr. Hew Len and the Mental Hospital

One of the most famous stories about modern Ho’oponopono comes from Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, a psychiatrist who worked at the Hawaii State Hospital in the 1980s.

He was assigned to a ward for criminally mentally ill patients — a place known for violence, chaos, and constant staff turnover. Many workers were afraid to come to work.

But something unusual happened.

Dr. Hew Len did not meet with the patients face-to-face.
Instead, he sat in his office, opened each patient’s file, and practiced Ho’oponopono.

He repeated the four phrases quietly:

I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.

He wasn’t speaking to the patients.
He was speaking to his own subconscious — cleaning any inner patterns that were connected to what he was seeing.

And slowly, the energy of the entire ward began to transform:

  • Patients became calmer

  • Outbursts reduced

  • Staff stopped quitting

  • The environment changed from chaotic to peaceful

According to the story, the shift was so dramatic that the ward eventually closed because it was no longer needed.

Dr. Hew Len always said:

“I didn’t heal them. I healed the part of me that created them.”

Whether taken literally or symbolically, the message is powerful:

When we heal ourselves, we heal the world around us.

🌸 How to Practice Ho’oponopono

The practice is simple:

  1. Bring to mind a situation, memory, or emotion that feels heavy.

  2. Repeat the four phrases slowly, like a soft prayer:

I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.

You can say the phrases out loud or quietly in your heart.

Use it:

  • Before bed

  • When you feel stressed

  • When you feel triggered

  • When you feel anxious or overwhelmed

  • When you don’t even know why you feel heavy

Even one minute can shift your energy.

Some people believe that healing requires us to feel every single emotion, but that isn’t always true. Words carry power. Every word has its own frequency and energy. For many of us, saying “I’m sorry” or “Please forgive me” can feel difficult.

For example, maybe you don’t get along with a coworker because they treat you poorly. When you say “I’m sorry” in Ho‘oponopono, you are not apologizing to that person for what they did. You are speaking to the energy of the situation. You are acknowledging that something within you is connected to this experience, and you are choosing to clean it.

Your subconscious mind understands the meaning behind these words, even when your conscious mind doesn’t fully know how the healing happens.

🧘 Healing the Inner Child

A gentle part of this practice is the connection with your inner child — the part of you that carries old memories, fears, and emotions.

When you say “I love you,” you are giving comfort to the parts of yourself that have been waiting for attention. It becomes a soft embrace to your own heart.

🦋 Why This Practice Helps So Many

In a world filled with overstimulation, pressure, and emotional noise, Ho’oponopono offers a simple path back to clarity.

People use it to:

  • Create miracles

  • Manifest a new reality

  • Spontaneous healing

  • Healing relationships

  • Releasing trauma

  • and so much more

It’s gentle but very powerful, and perfect for spiritual seekers and sensitive souls.

🌱 A Simple Daily Ritual

Tonight, try placing your hand on your heart and repeating:

I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.

Just for one minute.

Let the words fall softly inside you.
Let your heart relax.
Let your energy clear.
